Richton Park, IL—State Representative Al Riley, D-Olympia Fields, has
received the endorsement of former State Representative Robin Kelly in
his race to secure the Democratic nomination for the 38th
District. Kelly, who served the district from 2003-2006, wrote a
letter to voters confirming her support of Riley.
“I wholeheartedly support Al Riley for election to a second term as our
State Representative in the 38th District,” wrote Kelly. “Al
played and continues to play a lead role in shaping transportation
legislation to help solve the financial crisis faced by Metra, Pace and
the CTA.”
Riley, who is also the Rich Township Supervisor and a former three-term
trustee for the Village of Olympia Fields, welcomed the endorsements.
“ Robin served this district with distinction and her endorsement means
a lot to me,” said Riley. “Its an honor to serve the people of
the 38th District, this a vibrant growing region with a bright future.”
The 38th District includes all or portions of the following
municipalities: Country Club Hills; Flossmoor; Harvey; Hazel
Crest; Homewood; Markham, Matteson; Oak Forest; Olympia Fields; Park
Forest; Richton Park; and Tinley Park.
